Medicare Explanation of Benefits (EOB)

What is it?

Did you receive a letter from Medicare that you don't understand or are concerned it's a bill you need to pay?

This letter might be an EOB -- Explanation of Benefits.

This letter explains what was paid to your provider on your behalf, and what if any of these charges are your responsibility.

Is this a bill I have to pay?

No.  The EOB you received from Medicare is not a bill.

Even if the EOB says "patient responsibility" or "you pay"

an amount this is not a bill.

It is only an explanation of charges and benefits associated with the medical services you received.  The telephone based medical services from Senior Care Services you receive are covered by your health plan.  If Medicare tells you a co-pay or deductible is due to your provider, we can help.  If you are unable to pay your co-pay or deductible, contact us for assistance.  We work with a non-profit organization to help Seniors with their co-pays and deductibles.  You will never receive a bill from Senior Care Services for the Telephone Visits we provide.
